This game.
What’s it about? It’s about power. About the status quo. About how you take it and make it bend in your favour. Rules? Only one. Don’t get attached.
When you’re younger, there’s no win or lose. Either way, you win. No strings attached, nothing to tie you down. As you get older, the game suddenly has 2 different outcomes. You could win, or you could lose everything. Stakes get higher.
The one who wins is the one who gets to walk away without getting hurt. The one who loses is the one who gets fucked over.
I used to be good at this game.
I’m not sure I’m all that good anymore. I’m not even sure I want to play anymore.
